Winter Festivals-2015 tour

Come join us in March for a time of festivals! The Eagle festival, The Camel Festival and the Ice Festival all take a place in March. This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in the festivities of local communities in Mongolia. Not organized for 'tourists', these local events are put on by communities for their own amusement, but visitors are always welcome. Experience with a Mongolian local nomad family lifestyle, vamel racing, camel polo, and try your hand at Ice Sumo or tug-of-war!
1.Eagle festival at "Chingisiin Khuree" tourist camp
The highlight of the trip takes Kazakh people from Bayan-Ulgii province. Ninety percent of the population here is Kazakh, a group that is renowned for its hunters’ extraordinary skill in using golden eagles to hunt for small prey.
2.Ice festival at Khuvsgul lake
Organized yearly on frozen Khuvsgul Lake by National Park rangers, local residents and businesses, the Ice Festival has been held five years running. A respite from the confinement of the winter months, the Ice Festival is a time to get outdoors and play games. The festival features a gathering of local residents and nomadic reindeer herders, and performances by shamans, musicians, and sportsmen. Competitions include ice sumo, a horse-drawn sleigh race, ice skating races, tug-of-war between local teams, and a Russian Jeep race on the ice. Many traditional games are played on the sidelines, and this is an ideal venue for visitors to join in the fun and games with local people. The festival is held at Khar-Us on Khuvsgul Lake, a short drive north of Khatgal across the frozen lake ice.
3.Camel festival in Southgobi province
Mongolia's two-humped Bactrian camel is nicknamed by local people "the Gobi Ship". It inhabits the Gobi desert in the southern part of Mongolia. Because the camel is an indispensable part of life for nomadic herdsmen, a local association of camel herders organizes this gathering of camels and their breeders each year to promote continued breeding of the Bactrian camel and to educate both Mongolians and foreigners on the importance of the camel in the Mongolian way of life. Camels and riders compete in a race, in camel polo tournaments, and even in a camel "beauty contest" where owners display the finest saddles and rigging for their camels. This festival is held in Bulgan sum/village in Umnugobi (South Gobi) province.

Tours to Mongolia in 2015 without a visa

The first time you get to Mongolia - you cover the inexplicable feeling. It seems that everything stopped and waiting to wake up! Here, no one is in a hurry: pets slowly chew your grass, people slowly go somewhere rare Soviet-made cars slowly move through the steppes, even motorcyclists travel with the speed of a bike.

But most importantly - the natural purity of Mongolia! Untouched virgin nature is preserved only here. And the man did not try to make their own adjustments to this beautiful picture. Run across the steppe deer, seen in the distance a lone wolf in the street runs Mongolian rebyatnya, it is not afraid of wild animals around them.

It's time to rethink your life, to understand why do you live? In this country, there is no money! Rather, they are, but they do not have their original, commercial sense! We can not survive without the money and the day, and in Mongolia people live for centuries! And they are happy! Happy even without money!

Mongolia - that rare country originality that best expresses no colorful expressions of brochures and dry figures and the bare facts. So: population density - 1.7 people per square kilometer, 40% of the country's citizens live in the capital city Ulaanbaatar, Mongolian for one for 13 horses a year are 260 perfectly sunny days, the temperature of -40 ° C in winter to 40 ° C in summer. Add to this a daunting mix of traditionalism - the yurt is not a relic of the past, and complete, and often only possible at home, and openness to Western values - the shepherds enthusiastically talking on the mobile phone, and the youth went to study at European universities.

Among other things, Mongolia - a vast emerald steppes and clear blue lakes, snow-capped peaks of the Altai and Gobi desert expanse of hot, magnificent monuments of Buddhism and an animated story of Genghis Khan, and finally - colorful festivals, generous kitchen and incredible hospitality. Tourism in the country at a decent level due to foreigners who have long ride to Mongolia on fishing, tracking, caravan and Car Tours.
